In the case of new builds, the brief can include site master plan, road infrastructure, location, massing and height of the property within an empty plot, design and specification of all external materials, key architectural details, integration of buildings with landscaping, locating and designing all other buildings within the site. For existing properties, the brief can also include size and shape of extensions, sympathetic to existing constraints and styles.
